The Village Hall and Playing Field

These are used for our indoor And outdoor PE lessons. We also use this hall for performances by theatre companies that we frequently bring in for the children.

The Chapel

This is where we rehearse for and hold our summer and Christmas plays. We go to the chapel each fortnight for our assembly which is kindly led by people in the village – Open the Book. Our Harvest Festival always takes place here. We also use it for some of our noisier musical lessons e.g. African drumming.

The Church

At the end of each term we hold a service in the church. We invite everyone to join us and this is usually led by the Parish vicar.

The Grange Estate

We are fortunate to be located in the Marston Vale Forest and we have direct access to miles of footpaths, woodlands and pasture as well as the River Ouse and several lakes – all ideal to give our children real first hand experiences in their science and geography lessons.

Willington Garden Centre

We have been fortunate to work with the staff at the garden centre on growing projects that have entailed plants being planted by the children at the centre and then being transplanted out. We also enter several centre run competitions.

The Dovecote and Stables

This is a National Trust site which has links to Henry 8th and also houses graffiti by John Bunyan. We are able to use the buildings and also work with the National Trust and the local History Society.

We also use – under close supervision the local gravel working quarry for some of our key stage 2 geography.
All in all an amazing location and lots of facilities in a very small space!

Danish Camp -We use the Danish Camp as the venue for our Summer Concert & also use this as a learning environment.

Frosts Garden Centre – We have also used this as a learning environment for our Darwin Study and for our Muscial Evening when the school choir put on a performance.

Riding School for Disabled – We are invited to go here annually to join in the Christmas Party

Evergreens – The children are invited to the Evergreen’s Annual Party where the children get to judge their competition.

St Johns Hospice – We supported the local hospice by donating all our harvest festival produce

National Trust – We have established strong links developing programmes of local events together

Village Community – The older children are invited to attend the annual remembrance service
